Correct info Adampol/AdamKoy[edit]

At first there was no OFFICIAL name for years as the town's name was disputed between the polish village and the Turks. POLE Adama, is Adam's Field, thus Pole shortened to POL and thus became the name, Adampol.

In addition, the town was referred to in talk by the town's people as, The Colony. My Great Aunt is Zofia Ryza that is mentioned on this page. Polonezköy is a TURKISH word for Polish Village. Adampol does not mean nor translate to the Village of Adam or Adam's village. In the beginning, the TURKS called the town the Gypsy Village. My reference is the books we own from Adampol that my uncle sent to my mom and my other reference is my MOM, Zofia's Niece. She was born there and grew up there.
