Thank you @William Avery: and @Plantdrew: for your edits - this is a difficult one, with Wikidata and the international databases all over the place (try the links to NL and Sv:WP!). I don't think we should write a taxobox yet and thought that the 2 taxonbars (computer didn't let me do a from2) illustrated the issue. I think we will just have to await a decision: I would put my money on the grasshopper, based on dates and have retained the Category, but I am just a biassed entomologist! Assuming they are both validly published, Plotnikovia Umnov, 1930 would appear to have priority over Plotnikovia Skrjabin, 1945. Until a replacement name is decided for one or the other and published in secondary sources, we would just have to use normal Wikipedia disambiguation in some way. The beetle genus name Aethes L.A.A.Chevrolat, 1883 (See GBIF) is still in use despite the existence of the moth genus Aethes Billberg, 1820, (also in GBIF). Indeed - but I see that GBIF has Aethes L.A.A.Chevrolat, 1883 as "Doubtful". Roy Bateman (talk) 04:49, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Chevrolatia being preoccupied, it was drily replaced with the hemihomonym Billbergia Blackwelder, 1947. See IMRNG. William Avery (talk) 11:58, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
