Translation of name[edit]

According to the planka.nu funded freepublictransports.com, "The name planka.nu means freeride.now in swedish."" [1] However, freeriding generally refers to snowboarding and not fare evasion. As a native Swedish speaker, I'd translate planka.nu as fare-dodge.now (as I've done in the article), or a variation of that. To me, this seems like a more literal and NPOV translation. Planka.nu does not use freeride.now in any official capacity, and is not mentioned in any way on the planka.nu site.[2] Planka.nu earlier used the expression ridin' dirty, but this practice seems to be discontinued.

Googling "fare-dodging.now" returns 7 results, "faredodge.now" 6 results, "fare-dodge.now" 2 results.

A search of "freeride.now" returns 2760 results, but shows any result of the words freeride and now in direct sequence. - Anarkitekt (talk) 22:56, 25 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
