In the text of the original, was the phrase "binding sites of the phytochemically active cofactors". I changed this to "photochemically", assuming that was the intent of the original author. The cofactors are, in fact, photochemically active, while 'phytochemically', if intended, seems unnecessary, given that every cofactor present is a 'phytochemical', strictly speaking.
