don't understand[edit]

What does "mixes with" mean? Do they form a compound or just a mixture? 71.163.114.49 (talk) 13:05, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It’s a technical term (or jargon, if you will) from the domain of theoretical high-energy physics (a. k. a. theoretical particle physics). In this context, mixing means a certain kind of superposition of quantum states. Check the article about the Weinberg angle for an example of mixing between non-supersymmetric particles. If you find this topic difficult to understand, relax and keep in mind that Weinberg (and his colleagues) received the Nobel Prize for it. --2001:16B8:17C8:C000:9087:8988:B926:9DCD (talk) 21:26, 30 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
