If you are going to write about Phillup at least get your information correct like where he was born...it shows you have no clue about where he came from. Get the facts straight about what home life he had growing up. It does have significant bearing as to why he is the sociopath he is today. Do you know that his biological father raped his cousin? Do you know that he and his family suffered great abuse from Lester Viekko? Do you know the abuse he suffered at the hands of Michael Partin? Are you aware that Anna Bolen the woman working on saving his life is giving his family's information including location and phone numbers out because people like you are still writing about him on pages such as this therefore placing them in danger? It would be better if this whole page was deleted but since it can't be do your homework and get the FACTS straight.Cbeakley (talk) 07:50, 6 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am Catherine, the younger sister of Phillup Partin. The person that trolls newspapers and internet to write the articles on people here places the families of the condemmed in danger. The person also refuses to allow the whole truth of how and why Phillup has ended up where he is on death row. Our father physically abused Phillup, our older sister Mary and our mother. I was the only one not exposed to the man so I walked a different path then my brother. Our adoptive step father also physically, emotionally, and sexually abused us. They are important factors in why Phillup is the sociopath he is today.I feel if there is to be an article it should include the entire truth and people can and will have a better understanding as to why some people are murderers. Back in the 70s the mental health care system is not what it is today and if Phillup had recieved counselling and medication things may have been different. Since the trial they have found medical evidence proving that Phillup has brain damage from the abuse suffered as he was growing up. That is a factor not stated in the article. What people don't know about Phillup (Sonny as we called him) Loves his daughter and would never place her in danger. The last time I saw my brother he had backed me in a corner as though he was going to hit me (1998. I stood up to him and he just looked at me then he walked away. When Phillup was about 12 our stepfather found 108 cigarettes in his room. He made Phillup sit and smoke (inhaling each one) every cigarette one right after the other....Phillup was crying and vomiting and he was not allowed to stop. Another time Phillup was caught stealing. Our step father, for 3 nights in a row made me, my sister, my cousin, and my mother stand at attention and forced us to watch as he made Phillup pull is pants down in front of us, bend over a chair and I watched the clock screaming and crying as he beat Phillup with a belt for 15 minutes yelling "this is what happens to liars, thiefs, and cheats". (some things you never forget) then Phillup was grounded to his room for 3 months solid. He had to sit erect in a straight back chair for hours at the window. He wasn't allowed to move or leave the chair except bathroom and meal breaks. Our stepo father slammed our heads together hard if we argued with each other. I can't even talk about the molestation it was traumatizing. We wonder what makes people the way they are then we don't get the entire truth. Physical abuse, mental abuse, emotional abuse, and sexual abuse causes people to become what my brother is. I have no contact with Phillup nor will I ever try to write to him. I am not defending him because what he did was wrong and I cannot argue with the outcome of his trial. I am only asking for the entire story to be told. Not just a small fragment. The articles about him make him look like a monster that just did this because he's mean. He is the way he is because of the abuse he suffered....not because he was born this way.Cbeakley (talk) 06:47, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to add any information you want. Please try to read some other similar styled stories on wikipedia sutch asOba Chandler or Ted Bundy or sutch to find out more on how to style your writing. Please try to add some sources but you seem to be very good at writing so that shouldnt be a problem. We want ofcourse positive and a truthful picture of the man in the article. I don't have "sources" I just grew up in the same abusive home. I don't have photo's..I destroyed any I had to forget where I came from. All I can add is the truth to the home environment. I can tell you where we lived (mt clemens mi...there are photos of us in the mt clemens high school yearbook...1981 I think) All I want is people to know is why he is the way he is. Maybe it might save some other person or child by learning and preventing the abuse that leads to the path Sonny followed. I am greatly saddened by the 2 deaths my brother caused. My family (aunts/cousins) are terrified of him...yes I am afraid of him...I just wish he had the help he needed to prevent this rather than the destruction of many lives this has caused. I have nightmares and I feel guilty too. He is my brother and I have to live with who he is for the rest of my life. Is "hustler" equivalent to sex worker?[edit]

The article currently contains this text:

Partin was a prostitute with male clients.

It's supported by this source and this quotation:

Partin went on to describe how he worked as a hustler, letting gay men pick him up and take him home so he would have a place to sleep and take a shower the next morning, the detective testified.
