No mention of controversy and lawsuits?[edit]

If you scroll down to the bottom of this talk page, there is a comment from "phantomteam" that acknowledges the "past of corruption", but this entry includes nothing about it at the time of this reading. Are they trying to cover it up? Can we get some fairness here? --24.87.130.239 (talk) 22:52, 26 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Lawsuits[edit]

I'm trying to find the article reference for all the judgments against them from CDW and the like...anyone who finds it before me post it, please. Very relevant. Daemon8666 17:03, 21 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Found the link; http://www.curbwatcher.com/dasblogce/ If anyone can work this into the article please do; I won't be able to for a while yet.Daemon8666 17:13, 21 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Call that a reference?![edit]

Regarding the [Phantom_Entertainment#Internet_Spamming_Allegations|Internet_Spamming_Allegations] section; I notice it gives [this] as a reference. Basically, it's a search on the "news.admin.net-abuse.sightings" group for the expression "infinium labs". In other words, "here's a canned search for stuff some arbitrary people reported, there might be something plausible here".

Does anyone think that this is a proper reference? I don't.

I'm not opposed to Google groups/Usenet postings being cited as references; the same criteria of reliability and notability of the person applies, though. Even a search can serve as evidence; but only if its purpose is made very clear. Fourohfour 00:52, 19 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's telling that this very talk page was spammed with a Phantom ad. Atamasama 18:30, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What happened to the Infinium Labs entry[edit]

Who deleted the original article? There was some info in there that just got trashed. Now this crap page just lists lawsuits instead of a history. What happened? Its time clean this page up, all the lawsuits should secondary instead of tabloid headlines.

I suspect this is explained by the company wanting to seperate itself from its past. They sell keyboards now. It's unfortunate that the whitewashing of wikipedia was so easy. I had wanted to see what reference someone was making wrt infinium labs. Now it just redirects to this keyboard advertisement. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.208.128.163 (talk) 16:45, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Phantom-Entertainment-logo.jpg[edit]

Image:Phantom-Entertainment-logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:18, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I added fair use rationale per the Logo guidelines. -Atamasama 16:42, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge "Lapboard" and "The Phantom (game system)" into here[edit]

This article isn't very large, and I think that separate, they could be GAs, but together, they could be a decent FA. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 22:30, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

STRONG UNSUPPORT: if anything merge this page into the game system page, that's the only page people are likely to come looking for.76.226.114.137 (talk) 06:45, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Strongly support: It seems quite strange to have an article on the Phantom game console itself, seeing as it never existed. It makes more sense to brings the useful information here, and have that page redirect here. Aawood (talk) 11:49, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This article should be moved or deleted[edit]

I'm trying to start a page about the term "infinium" and when I do a search it takes me to this page which seems to have absolutely nothing to do with the term INFINIUM. Maybe the company was named Infinium Labs but I'm trying to define the term itself and add it as a physics term. This page should either be moved or deleted and either way it shouldn't come up when I type infinium in the search. Any ideas? If not within a week, I'm gonna delete all infinium references from the page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ramssiss (talkcontribs) 23:10, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You are currently in the discussion session of the Phantom Entertainment page, not the Infinium page. If you want to edit the Infinium page, it's right here. --ih8evilstuff (talk) 02:57, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

considering how popular the Phantom was[edit]

I'd say keep the article. It made major headlines world-wide.--ILoveSky (talk) 17:34, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Phantom Entertainment 2010[edit]

This is NOT the same company as in 2002 - much has changed, our goals are sound, and we have a product we are selling right now. We are only a company of a few people trying to erase the past corruption and failures. We sell a unique product that we feel fits in today's market. We would like that presented here. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Phantomteam (talkcontribs) 03:11, 23 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but Wikipedia is not where you can come to "erase the past". It should be a fair record of it. I believe you're not allowed to edit your own Wikipedia entry. It sounds like you are admitting to it here and that could result in a ban. --24.87.130.239 (talk) 22:54, 26 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This article needs major work[edit]

This article is in need of copy-editing, tone-check and a general rebuild. Information seems scattered and contains general history errors. Much of the article was changed by editors who seem to work with the company and large portions were removed. Would be a good project for someone interested.Evan-Amos (talk) 06:02, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Update: This article is still shit. Much of it reads like an advertisement for the "lapboard." It's pretty obvious much of the article was written by current or former employees of the company. The problem is I don't think anyone gives enough of a shit about this company to fix it. (I sure don't.) 184.88.231.118 (talk) 22:40, 10 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Is it a Joke?[edit]

Is there really only 3 employees? It must be a joke! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.93.115.62 (talk) 06:30, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Who is Timothy Roberts?[edit]

The article mentions "CEO Timothy Roberts", but the link goes to a page about a cricket player. Is it the same person? I mean, it COULD be, but somehow it seems unlikely! --173.77.221.205 (talk) 02:03, 14 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
