Theda et al.[edit]

I would not agree that noting/linking to association to Theda Bara is merely an Easter egg as (like Charlie, Mary, and Francis) since Pearl named all of her animals after Hollywood actors, indicating her obsession with becoming a movie star herself. WP:EASTEREGG clearly states 'Also remember there are people who print the articles...In a print version, there is no link to select, and the reference is lost.' That's the easiest test for whether something is an easter egg link. DonQuixote (talk) 00:21, 9 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

"Why delete this"?[edit]

@Nyxaros: Mmm, repeated links, maybe ...? Because three links in one article seemed like one (or two) too many? So, when disambiguating the third link, I thought: one link in the lead, and one towards the bottom of the article seems reasonable: still mildly overlinked, if anything. Your relinking of the middle instance of The Wizard of Oz link now sees one link in the lead, one in the middle and one towards the end.

I think that's fine if you and others prefer the link repeated in that way, but don't see that the pointed ES query was called for. (I realise I neglected to mention in my ES I had unlinked one instance, my apologies for that oversight, but still ...) I see you've been editing for many years, so perhaps I have misunderstood MOS:LINKONCE and WP:SEAOFBLUE ... If so, again, my apologies. AukusRuckus (talk) 02:29, 8 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

End of movie subliminal frame[edit]

Everyone talks about the final smiling scene, but after the copyright shot, the stylized film strip frames includes 1 subliminal frame of a face and two creatures on either side. I'm looking for sources talking about this to identify the man or creatures and the significance of it. 160.32.88.26 (talk) 04:29, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
