It should be noted that at the Paul Smith disambiguation page, under section header "Music", in addition to Paul Smith (film and television composer), there are two other composers: Paul Smith (rock vocalist) and Paul Smith (Christian music performer), both of whom compose lyrics and music for their respective songs. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 21:07, 22 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

They are not DAB as composers, they are DABd as a rock vocalist and a Christian music performer. This Paul Smith is the only one of the three who is only and primarily a composer. BMK (talk) 21:37, 22 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The fact still remains that he is not the sole composer among those named "Paul Smith". In striving for brevity in qualifiers, we would rather not qualify the other two as Paul Smith (rock vocalist and composer) or Paul Smith (Christian music singer-songwriter), but each of them has also created musical compositions. A possible compromise may be the already existing qualifier, Paul J. Smith (composer) since, in a minority of his credits, he was billed as "Paul J."
According to the AFI Catalog, among his seven Academy Award nominations, four were under the name "Paul J. Smith" (Pinocchio [winner], Victory Through Air Power, The Three Caballeros and Song of the South). The drawback is that, even though he won his only Oscar as "Paul J. Smith", the "Paul J." billing represents a small percentage of his total credits — AFI lists only seven "Paul J." credits and IMDb has a few additional ones, but in the great majority of his other credits, he is simply "Paul Smith". Ultimately, Paul Smith (composer) may well suffice as a main title header, unless this goes to RM and others provide additional suggestions. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 00:19, 23 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
