Use in combat?

The Sisu XA-180 appeared in the movie Black Hawk Down (in UN colours). Was the XA-180 really used in Somalia. -- Petri Krohn 22:45, 26 October 2005 (UTC)

Wasn't that APC the French VAB? I can't remember whether the vehicle in movie was 4x4 or 6x6 variant (both exist). SGJ 21:11, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
The APCs that the Pakistani UN forces used were 6x6 VABs
APCs in Black Hawk Down were not XA-180's! This is obvious if you pause the movie. For instance the back doors were different. I once recognized the correct type but can't no longer remember what it was. VAB is certainly possible. I removed the paragraph from the article. -Khilon (talk) 20:07, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

XA-180 has a long history of use e.g. in the UNIFIL, peace keeping veterans tell alleged stories of Pasi driving over russian anti-tank mine with no casualties. PASI allready has a high center of balance, during late 80's or early 90's UNIFIL PASI's were equipped with armored turrets which made them quite unstable to drive, there are several documented instancies of PASI tilting over. Use in NL?

Nobody in the NL knows these vehicles as Sisu's; they are called Patria, as they are in most countries and armies. Only Finland calls it the XA-180 and is now looking for a company to upgrade these vehicles. Oddly, they are referred to as "wheeled vehicles' (http://www.defense-aerospace.com/cgi-bin/client/modele.pl?prod=106505&shop=dae&modele=release) whereas most of the world would call these armored cars, APC or even IFV. A 'wheeled vehicle' is understood to be a car or truck, in English.

And this article does need editing for English. Any takers?

Also: Might it not be a good idea to combine the Sisu and Patria (this vehicle, not the Patria company) articles under the latter name?

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Why should the Estonian XA-180 have its own page ?--Le Petit Chat (talk) 09:46, 11 March 2019 (UTC)

March 2019 merge proposal

The intitial proposal to merge XA-180 (EST) into Patria Pasi was unopposed but has been archived. I suggest a better target would be Patria Pasi variants#XA-180EST where there is already a section with a similar level of details. Klbrain (talk) 14:40, 27 April 2020 (UTC)

👍 Like I support the idea. Gwafton (talk) 07:54, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
