Species utilized for this?[edit]

Is there one parrot species in particular that these astrologers work with? It might be useful to mention this in the article, if so. The birds pictured in the article, the famous Mani included, are all Rose-ringed Parakeets (aka the Ringnecked Parakeet), FWIW. --Kurt Shaped Box (talk) 18:13, 23 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am not able to identify the species from the reports. In tamil they are called pachaikili (green parrot) and i havent been able to match that term to a particular species.--Sodabottle (talk) 08:48, 24 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
