@Temerarius: See WP:BRD. You were bold, you got reverted, you should start a discussion. The onus is on you who want to make changes to back them up.

First, the little things. You have added a link to Feast of Wine, but it isn't clear what relevance this has (any more than a hundred other potential such "see also"s). You have also added boldface to "Aramaic text in demotic script", but that is not what it's for. See MOS:BOLD.

As to the more substantive issues, you were quite right to see that the lead needs to say something about the biblical connection. Your original edits were better than your second round in that regard. Thus, I restored that information to the lead and formatted the ref for consistency. In essence, I reduced your text (The broad variety of texts included on one 12' scroll make it a singular object of comparative interest. This closeness of similarity between a biblical to an extrabiblical text, both of significant length, (Psalm xx and pAmherst xii 11-19) was "hitherto unprecedented.") to a single sentence (One of these, a version of Psalm 20, provides an "unprecedented" extrabiblical parallel to a text from the Hebrew Bible.). Why? Because (1) we do not need to repeat that it is a 12' scroll, (2) I'm not sure what "a singular object of comparative interest" means and (3) what the cited source actually calls hitherto unprecedented is "such a close textual similarity of an extra-biblical text to an entire (albeit short) poetic unit", which contradicts your "significant length" (actually, "albeit short").
