Owambe is just a popular term used in the early 60s-70s,to check if a lady had on sets of waist beads. Its presence is confirmed by saying "Ẹ́ check í ẹ̀! Ṣ'ó wà mbẹ́? And the response is... ("Ó wà ní íbẹ́;Ó wà n'íbẹ́; Ó wá mbẹ́;) Ówámbẹ́! It became popular amongst local musicians. Check if it’s there. It's there!
