Untitled[edit]

The only airport I knew of was the Prescott-Russell Airport on St. Pierre Road in 1970's and maybe up to the early 1990's. The Emrun Airport does exist because I will be going to a fly-breakfast there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.138.3.106 (talk) 02:52, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Airport[edit]

There is no airport in Embrun, Ontario anymore. It closed down a few years ago! They no longer use it.

Well according to NAV CANADA's current Canada Flight Supplement (23 November 2006) and Transport Canada (search for CPR2) this airport is in operation. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 13:24, 23 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, they haven't been flying planes in ages. Unless they've opened a new one somewhere else then I don't think there is one. But if you can find out if they've built a new one here, then let me know.

How about gliders and hang-gliders? The CFS says both are active in the area. Also page 77 of this pdf from Transport Canada, dated 26th Oct uses Embrun Airport as an example. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 12:34, 24 November 2006

Most likely it is still running, like you said, but it probably isn't using airplanes anymore. I did some research, and nothing said that Embrun Airport didn't exist anymore. So it probably does still use gliders and hang-gliders, but no airplanes. Loghead1 16:29, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And what is your source for that? You can't just say things like that here, you must give a source, either a book or a reliable website (sorry, Freewebs website don't count). Before you put it in an article, give a source. See WP:V for help on how to cite.

If you haven't noticed, I haven't actually that fact on the site. If you notice I put, they PROBABLY only use gliders and hang-gliders. I am not sure of that, and therefore did not, and will not put that on the article. Please don't tell me things like that. It is rather annoying when people constantly assume. I hate it when people assume things. I WAS NOT GOING TO PUT THAT INFORMATION ON THE ARTICLE IF I DID NOT KNOW IT WAS TRUE, I MADE A PREDICTION. And why did you ever start talking about unreliable websites, and Freewebs websites? Be organized in your writing (because you were talking about Freewebs sites and unreliable websites for no apparent reason), and don't assume please. Whoever you are, your unorganized paragraph was very confusing.

By the way, you are supposed to sign your name at the bottom of your paragraph so people will know who you are. Please do so I don't write stuff that isn't necessarily related to Embrun Airport on the talk page, when I should be doing it on your user talk page.

Airplanes do use it. Embrun Airport did not close down - it relocated. It used to be located about two km north of Embrun on St. Guillaume Street, but then a couple years ago they moved it 3 km south of Embrun. --FreshFruitsRule 21:30, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
