Name[edit]

It's name in English has always been translated as The National Hospital. It's not called Rikshospitalet University Hospital. The "University Hospital" part was added to the names of the other university hospitals only recently (in the early 2000s), but has never been used for Rikshospitalet, which has always been known in Norwegian as simply Rikshospitalet (literally, The National Hospital). The same page, obviously written by some rather incompetent person, also claims that it was "until 1 October 2007 called Rikshospitalet-Radiumhospitalet Medical Center". When researchers from The National Hospital publish articles in international journals, their institution is referred to as The National Hospital[1]. As the national hospital of Norway, it has been referred to in English as The National Hospital since the 19th century. As such, it is the correct, established historical name in English as a hospital, and the "Rikshospitalet-Radiumhospitalet Medical Center" nonsense health trust names of the recent years doesn't change this - it doesn't change a long history. "Rikshospitalet University Hospital" is not proper English and it contain the word "hospital" twice, which is ridiculous ("National Hospital University Hospital").
