I've re-opened this page; the redirect was ineffective, as there were no clues where to find this information there. I've added a date her for starters.
I also did this to try and untangle the edit history to this page, as it's been completely re-written and moved a couple of times.
This page originally referred to a US operation in Iraq; this was redirected on on 28 Feb 2007 and the edit history misplaced when the page was moved on 1 Oct 2009. You can see the original format here and the edit history here between 25 march 2006 and 16 Feb 2007.
It subsequently acquired content about the two German operations in September 2009, before being moved, to be an article on a Soviet operation, in January 2010.
I'm working back to connect to what's been lost. Xyl 54 (talk) 18:25, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think that Operation Northern Lights/version 2 (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) edit history should be integrated with Operation Northern Lights (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) , as there are no overlapping edits, one was merged away before the other was started, so it should exist as history of the topic. A rollback to the earlier content can be done after integration, since the older one had more content. One disappeared in 2007, the second appeared in 2009, with nary an edit in between. 70.24.248.23 (talk) 14:48, 3 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
