Re: Notability[edit]

It's used in TextMate, which won Apple Design Awards 2006 Best Developer Tool. Also used in Ruby and PHP, which has numerous books written about it. —Tokek 12:22, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

These establish notability for TextMate, Ruby and PHP, but not for Oniguruma. However, I have been able to find independent reliable sources that discuss the topic in-depth, such as this. It could potentially be added to the article. -Verdatum (talk) 19:57, 29 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ghost car?[edit]

I don't speak Japanese nor could I find a source, but it seems to mean "oni car". Is it an allusion to the possessed car in Venture Bros?--88.73.60.212 (talk) 14:51, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In Chinese, it's another name for the Nine-headed Bird, as noted on the page on Chinese Wikipedia. —alxndr (t) 20:43, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

The comment in the header seems to assert that because some related program was notable, then this was as well. The sources given don't demonstrate that it satisfies either WP:GNG or WP:NSOFTWARE, and notability is not inherited. The earlier comments on this page agree with that.
