United States Federal Building and Courthouse (Anchorage, Alaska)Old Federal Building (Anchorage, Alaska) – This building hasn't been Anchorage's federal building since the late 1970s, though it continues to be used by the federal government. We stand to confuse readers who may be looking for the James M. Fitzgerald United States Courthouse and Federal Building located about six blocks away, which has stood since 1977. The GSA refers to this building as the "Anchorage Historic Federal Building", though on the same webpage they also call it the "Old Federal Building". I prefer the latter, but mention the former as an alternative in the spirit of avoiding parenthetical disambiguation when possible. • Support GSA and local news coverage refer to the building as the Old Federal Building. Agree fully that the current article name could be confusing and the proposed article name is far more appropriate. Safiel (talk) 04:33, 10 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom. My selection of the current title was purely descriptive. What the GSA calls it should suffice for a title. bd2412 T 13:28, 10 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
There's a related RFD, which brings up an issue. As the current article title and the two redirects in question are all ambiguous, I would think that the three should redirect to List of United States federal courthouses in Alaska for the time being, as that's the only place I'm aware of on here which mentions both buildings.
