The group seems to be notable as they have been covered on NPR and are mentioned in a textbook about world music culture. References are provided Dac04 (talk) 20:02, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling[edit]

The group spells it "Chantey," as indeed that is a common spelling in the U.S. The CBS article (in links) gets this and other details wrong. Change the title of the Wiki article?DrBaldhead (talk) 03:11, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
