Same storm now pounding UK[edit]

I was watching Global National which mentioned that this storm is the same one now affecting the east coast of the UK. I can't find anything to use as a reference connecting the 2 stories online though. Mike McGregor (Can) (talk) 22:31, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Minor Edit[edit]

I changed the damage from "Not yet known" to "Unknown" since it has been over a year and the storm system was not major. As far as I know, no one is calculating the damage so I changed it to not seem like the damage will be posted later. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Occamsrazorwit (talkcontribs) 00:11, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for bringing this back up. The National Climatic Data Center has a ton of useful information, including storm damages. They're saying that it caused roughly $750 million in damages in Ohio and another $16 million in other states just from the winter weather. Other severe weather events (tornadoes, flooding, high winds, etc...) caused a combined $23 million in damages bringing total damages from the storm to $789 million.
