Mission station[edit]

My parents, Gustav and Lina Bürklin (nee Pfeifferling) lived in Ningdu from 1947-50 and were then asked by the Chinese government to leave. As missionaries they pastored the local church. Their three children, Friedel, Werner and Gisela joined them in 1947. I, Werner, vividly remember us swimming in the nearby river. As teenagers we greatly enjoyed living there. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wernerburklin (talkcontribs) 19:04, 11 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

To add to article[edit]

If Ningdu County is inhabited primarily by Hakka people, why isn't the word "Hakka" mentioned a single time in the current version of this article? That's not very encyclopedic, is it? 98.123.38.211 (talk) 01:27, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
