Not sure why the write-up mentioned "sold as the N8008 in the US and Canadian markets"; I purchased my F801 in Montreal, it was always called the F801 in Canada I thought. I'm still using it.

The N2020 was the F501 outside Canada/US (ditto N2000/F301), but those were the last "N" models sold as Ns in Canada. Canada received all future Nikon film cameras with the worldwide F designation and the N designation was, as far as I know, used by Nikon USA only. PhotoJim (talk) 21:19, 25 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

F- prefix[edit]

How is the F- or N prefix a designation of amateur cameras when some decidedly professional cameras (e.g. F5) are in the F designation? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.36.49.198 (talk) 15:10, 4 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
