Dispute about his birth year[edit]

The source for 1545 seems to be Sidney Lee's original DNB article. Many sources have moved his date later: the current DNB article by Michael G Brennan has 1554 based on the latest scholarship. When I look at the date in the VIAF records, it is uniformly 1545 but that could be all derived from this wikipedia article.

The EB started with 1545, but now has moved it up to "1553?".
