Rating[edit]

I have just finished assessing this article for the Military History project and believe it to be a Start class article. I believe that it could be improved by addressing the following issues:

  • Referencing: for a successful B class review, an article requires at least one in line citation per paragraph or block of information (more if multiple sources are used, or if multiple assertions are made that might be challenged);
  • Grammar: the article needs a copy edit for grammar. In the second last paragraph one of the sentences is not actually a sentence due to the fact that it does not have a subject, although it has a predicate. I am not exactly sure what it is saying so I can not fix it up. It is the sentence that begins: "During the Civil War, Kentucky was a slave state..."

Just a couple of ideas. If you would like more detailed feedback, please consider submitting the article for peer review. This can be done by going to WP:MHPR. Once you feel it is ready for re-assessment, please add it to the list at WP:MHA. Hope this helps. AustralianRupert (talk) 03:43, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
