Categorization[edit]

The categories "Flora of X" are intended for species (and occasionally higher taxon ranks) that are native to X – see e.g. WP:PLANTS/WGSRPD.

Even if it were agreed that the New Journal of Botany should be placed in a "Flora of X" category, the use of Category:Flora of the United Kingdom would be wrong. The journal covers research on the native flora of Northern and Western Europe, so it could either be placed in Category:Flora of Europe, given that the exact bounds aren't clear, or in multiple categories – the area covered seems to correspond best to Category:Flora of Northern Europe, Category:Flora of Southwestern Europe and Category:Flora of Central Europe.
