Business?[edit]

The article says that he fell foul of a law requiring business carts to display their owners' names legibly, but it doesn't say what business the cart was used for. Info if available would be helpful. Scolaire (talk) 15:15, 26 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Blátha Fraoich[edit]

The name of the book is mis-spelled throughout the page. As printed on the original edition, it is "Blaṫa Fraoiċ", which may alternatively be written "Blatha Fraoich", which should arguably be "Blátha Fraoich".

Some of the songs can be heard online, eg. Mo Chró Beag ag bun Chnoc a' Toighe (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9c_muZ4QmXo); or Nuala na gCuacha Buidhe (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frEU0gCuXYg — by him but not in the book). A real rarity is Ag Smaointeadh ar an am a bhí (p 10, https://www.doegen.ie/LA_1228d3 ) 5.80.220.176 (talk) 13:15, 6 July 2018 (UTC).[reply]

It's good to see the edits made, but there are still a few nits to pick :-) I made so bold as to fix directly a few things on the main page, avoiding anything controversial, but I still have a few further comments: 1. In the song title "Mo Cró Beag ag bun Chnoc a' Toighe", Cnoc a' Toighe doesn't mean "The Big Hill", but "The Hill of the House". However, as it's a placename, it is best not to translate it, but to use the normal English transliteration of it, which is "Crockatee". My preferred English version of the title would be "My wee shack below Crockatee". 2. I strongly doubt whether Neil was the author of "An Trucailín Donn", as asserted in the "external links". I think it is safer to say, as in "legacy", that "the song was inspired by Neil's cart story". 3. I think the archive.org reference (above) to the book is preferable to the Google Books one in the main page. The book can be seen in facsimile in archive.org, whereas all we get in Google Books is a bibliographic citation (at least, that's all we get in the UK). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.143.131.115 (talk) 18:34, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
