To say that this article "incorporates" text from the Catholic Encyclopedia is a bit of an understatement. "Takes verbatim" would be more accurate. I plan to review other articles based on the Catholic Encyclopedia and propose a systematic way to bring those articles closer in line with the GFDL philosophy. Nabau should be Nebo[edit]
This article was formed originally by an almost entirely verbatim transfer of material from the Catholic Encyclopedia ([1]). At the beginning of that article, as it exists on Wikisource, the first line reads "(Septuagint, Nabau). This does not indicate that the primary name used in English is Nabau. It indicates that the Septuagint, a Greek version of the Hebrew Bible, refers to the town as Nabau. But today, in English, the town is generally referred to as Nebo, and that's what the Wikipedia article should be titled as per WP:ENGLISH. Here's a bunch of translations of the Bible into English, all calling it "Nebo" [2]. Even the original Catholic Encyclopedia article's title calls it Nebo, so it is odd that Nabau wound up being the term used here. Alephb (talk) 01:14, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
