How long did it last?[edit]
In this page the history of the NSL appears to stop on the eve of World War I. Did it survive beyond the war and when did it disband? I do recall reading in 1979 a newspaper letter from Lord Kingsale, who signed himself as Chairman of the "National Association for Service to the Realm", advocating revived conscription in view of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan and the growing unemployment in Britain.Cloptonson (talk) 20:05, 20 June 2016 (UTC)
