Chittenden County Courthouse[edit]

Wiki Loves Monuments drive

Number 14 in this listing, the Chittenden County Courthouse at 180 Church Street, no longer exists. DO NOT post a picture of the current courthouse at the corner of Main and Church (the former US Customs house, which is listed at Number 87).

Some confusion apparently results from the fact that the old courthouse and the current one were adjacent to each other. The land upon which the old courthouse stood is now part of the parking lot behind the current courthouse.

So the image at right is not the one in the NRHP listing? Thundersnow (talk) 14:36, 6 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I figured it out, the image was tagged with the court house NRHP number, not the customs house.  Thundersnow  07:27, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
We routinely use images of parking lots, current buildings, etc. to represent now-demolished buildings. Were the current courthouse on the site of the former one, an image of it would be appropriate. Nyttend (talk) 00:47, 15 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
