How is she pakistani-American.[edit]

Look. We are americans. And I know for a person raised in a country during his early years. Before 16 can be considered full americans. This is nothing but differentiating for no reason. Fix that. Samuel Malik (talk) 01:44, 5 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It's sourced that Ali is a first-generation American. The question is what became of her Pakistani citizenship when she was naturalized. Did she retain it (in which case "Pakistani-American" is appropriate), or did she give it up? —C.Fred (talk) 01:47, 5 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
No sources state that her Pakistan citizenship has been revoked. She's also of Pakistani ancestry regardless of her citizenship. I understand how upsetting this is to practicing muslims, however, it is accurate to state that she is Pakistani-American.--The Eloquent Peasant (talk) 13:58, 1 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Birthplace[edit]

@JWilkinson96: what is your justification for repeating adding Peshawar as Ali's birthplace? I have twice reverted this as unsourced; you have now added it again, this time with a source that does not mention her birthplace or Peshawar.[1] You may know that she was born there, but that is not enough for Wikipedia, we need a reliable source. Sourcing is of particular importance when it related to living people, see Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons. Verbcatcher (talk) 11:39, 26 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@C.Fred: So none of the sources say Peshawar according to you? Even though she's said in interviews multiple times that she's from Hybatabad? So where exactly does it say Lahore, which you keep reverting it to with 0 sources? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Niphussle (talkcontribs) 19:24, 2 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Niphussle: I didn't see Lahore in the infobox until today. I have removed that also. —C.Fred (talk) 18:39, 2 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
And as far as Peshawar, I did not find it in any of the cited sources. —C.Fred (talk) 18:40, 2 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • I see it was re-added today, but I could not verify it in any of the three cited sources. (One, though, is paywalled.) Where conclusively does it say she's born there? —C.Fred (talk) 18:04, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

About her name[edit]

We have her born as Onaza Malik, going now as Onai Malik, and most notable as Nadia Ali. Was Nadia Ali ever her legal name, or was it a stage name? If just a stage name, the intro needs restated as "Onaza Malik, known professionally as Nadia Ali,..." —C.Fred (talk) 17:49, 26 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@C.Fred: her legal name should come first, see MOS:CHANGEDNAME. MOS:PSEUDONYM says that a stage name should come last. We haven't got a source to confirm which is her legal name, some of the sources are behind paywalls but the einpresswire source mentions all three names. I think we should would assume that her legal name is the name she uses now: Onai Malik. I think we should have:
  • Onai Malik (born Onaza Malik in 1991 or 1992), known professionally as Nadia Ali, is a Pakistani-born American former pornographic actress, who worked as an actress from 2015 to 2016.

purplereels.com[edit]

In my view purplereels.com is not a reliable source for Wikipedia. This is mainly because its content appears to be user-generated. This is indicated by the tagline on the home page: "Create your own network of like minded movie lovers and share movie reviews, movie news and music." There is an 'EDIT' button above the 'OTHER DETAILS' box which has the date of birth, indicating that users can change this content. In addition, the 'About US' and the other links at the bottom of the home page do not work. This probably indicates that purplereels.com is not a website of a major media organisation – this makes it less likely to be reliable.

HammadShakeel911, you added this source. Can you comment on this?

Reliable sources are of particular importance for the personal details of living people, see WP:BLPSOURCES. We only use this source for Ali's date of birth. I propose to revert the date of birth back to '1991 or 1992', based on the International Business Times source. Comments please. Verbcatcher (talk) 11:00, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I the absence of a response I have made the revert that I proposed. Verbcatcher (talk) 18:39, 30 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Picture[edit]

Can this babe have a picture? Pengetik-AM (talk) 10:52, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If there are any free to use images of the "babe", sure. TylerBurden (talk) 10:58, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It is unlikely that any freely-licensed images are available online. A rationale for a fair-use image would not be valid because she is still alive. Realistically, we are unlikely to get an acceptable image unless one of Ali's friends takes a photo of her and uploads it with a free licence. Verbcatcher (talk) 19:46, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
