Fair use rationale for Image:Nba2 logo.gif[edit]

Image:Nba2 logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Problems with stats like "highest measured audience"[edit]

I recently deleted The highest measured audience was a Golden State Warriors vs San Antonio Spurs regular season game on April 10, 2016 with an average 2.6 million viewers. One big problem is that it should have been fairly obvious this stat would be outdated soon. It followed a likewise outdated "As of January 2016, NBA TV is available to approximately 53.8 million pay television households in America", which should be updated, or deleted, or perhaps named as the height of availability (I have no info or citation for this). Wikipedia articles should be encyclopedic, and information which has a short lifespan should be avoided unless it marks a very specific milestone. Or at least put towards the end and not in opening paragraphs. Thank you for your time Cuvtixo (talk) 04:11, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
