Major expansion planned[edit]

I plan to significantly expand this article and rework its existing material. If there are no objections, I will post the new version in a few days. The proposed new version can be viewed here: User:Bilpen/sandbox

I switched from using Reisem's "Buried Treasures in Mount Hope" as a citation, replacing it with citations from Reisem's biography of Holley instead. I tried to include a reference for each significant assertion. I removed the part about Holley dying as a pauper because I can't find evidence for it. I changed the birth and death dates for Holley's father per Reisem's biography. I removed the part about Holley being a descendant of astronomer Edmund Halley because Reisem, page 210, says that questions have been raised about that claim.
