First paragraph under legacy is poor in quality[edit]

The first paragraph under legacy makes lot's of bold claims with no sources. The first sentence: Foster worked to maintain white supremacy in Louisiana through his support of the Louisiana Constitution of 1898, which practically disfranchised blacks. Has no information giving detail proof or evidence, etc. Feels like a lie or an exaggeration made by someone with an axe to grind. Why is there no link to the Louisiana constitution of 1898? How did said constitution, "disenfranchise blacks"? In what way? No information given, merely a claim that sounds believable enough to make most people not question. The next two sentences are much the same thing. Claims about what the man supposedly did with no evidence to back it up. I tried to delete that whole paragraph but a bot automatically undid my edit for being non-constructive or something. Actually I'm reading more of the article and I'm finding claims made all over the place but a substantial lack of sources. I should think most of the articles information should be reviewed then either removed or given notes saying this article lacks reliable sources. 2601:18A:807C:CEF0:98EE:4A33:80BB:921C (talk) 01:32, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
