Dam[edit]

The article says she was "thrown into a dam." Dams I have seen are usually made of concrete, but sometimes of earth and timbers, so throwing someone against one could be fatal, as could throwing someone into one during construction and then covering with concrete or dirt. Or the person could be thrown into the associated river or lake. What meaning was intended? Edison 17:35, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Perhaps we have to make clear for non Australians but we have many many dams in Australia that are merely scooped out of the earth on farms. Have a look at the image at [1] or [2] and there are many more all over the country.--Golden Wattle talk 20:42, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
