@Equinox: it isn't a duplicate, it's a separate but similar event. ミーラー強斗武 (StG88ぬ会話) 02:27, 7 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sasebo schoolgirl murder2014 Sasebo schoolgirl murder – or Murder of Aiwa Matsuo or Death of Aiwa Matsuo or Killing of Aiwa Matsuo. The current title is ambiguous with Sasebo slashing, a similar event in 2004 that has a much larger pageview count. Please note that an RM discussion is currently open at Talk:Sasebo slashing#Requested move 7 April 2023. Although this article describes the incident as a murder, it does not mention a conviction for the crime of murder, so it is not really clear whether the use of the word is appropriate. The primary intent of this RM is disambiguation. — BarrelProof (talk) 18:44, 7 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The most recent source that I found cited in the article is from 16 February 2015, and it still uses the word "alleged" to describe the incident. It also says "In January, prosecutors sent her to a family court to seek a decision on whether the case involving a minor merited criminal prosecution." It is therefore not clear that there has been a murder conviction. — BarrelProof (talk) 02:00, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
