Creating a Safe Space for LGBT Life in Uganda: The Pride Munyonyo Project[edit]

Pride munyonyo is community LGBT empowerment umbrella .it’s a non-profit Organization and of our activities safe, accessible. We raise one voice for the voiceless LGBT people in our community or society. Those who have been neglected because of their morals like same sex couples e.g. gays.Pride munyonyo is engaging with various members and groups of our community to receive feedback and discuss ways we can address concerns in order to improve as an organization.

We meet twice a week to exchange ideas and check on each other progress regarding the different assignment we are working on. We have also reflected on our past and acknowledged that we haven’t always handled challenging situation like The Uganda Anti-Homosexuality Act, 2014 (previously called the "Kill the Gaysbill" in the western mainstream media due to death penalty clauses proposed in the original version) was passed by the Parliament of Uganda on 20 December 2013 with life in prison substituted for the death penalty. We have come up with now what we call Pride.

Be part of us Pride Munyonyo was originally established BY Mr Lukyamuzi Acram Musisi an LGBT activists in April 2012 with the ambition to help with LGBTQI persons from East Africa domestically within Uganda and more in Africa . As our activism, reach and extent of our work grew to international rather than domestic, we together decided to let Pride Munyonyo become an independent organization that can reach its potentials and fulfill its domestic & international goals. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Acramlukyamuzi256 (talkcontribs) 21:46, 20 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
