Untitled[edit]

Needs major cleanup. Spelling and grammatical errors everywhere, contradictory information, and reeks of POV. There's a lot of good information in here -- let's weed out the bad stuff. --Orang55 00:47, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Action Park operational dates[edit]

Action Park says the amusement park opened in 1978, not '76, and most internet+print articles also list 1978. Changed from 1976.Mathtinder 00:12, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Some ski area inaccuracies[edit]

1. The Octagon Lodge/Hex Lounge at Vernon Valley was not designed by Sandy McIlvaine; the original lodge at Great Gorge was, and it still stands (sort of). 2. According to a personal interview with Peggy Kurlander, Jack Kurlander actually did the trail layouts at GG. He brought in Otto Schneibs for a weekend to review everything, and Schneibs made a few suggestions and minor changes. She said, "that's all we could afford." Schafflinger played no role in the trail layout. Unless a contributor has evidence to the contrary, I will enact these changes within a month - Rick Bolger

NPOV?[edit]

It seems like someone from Intrawest, the company that owns Mountain Creek, is editing this article to show their point of view. I live in Vernon myself, and the local news always reports of Intrawest attempting to bribe the local government to allow it to expand it's buildings and property. However, this article seems to focus only on the positive aspects of the resort. The only mention of the bribery is in a brief sentence: "Much will depend on the restriction placed by the town of Vernon under the Town Center restrictions." Of course, if I edit the article, it might end up reflecting of my point of view instead. This article needs a lot of cleanup and NPOV fixes. - ThreeDee912 (talk) 16:13, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also needs a lot of references added. RJFJR (talk) 20:41, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Waterpark?[edit]

Should this be merged with Mountain Creek Waterpark? Or should it be kept separate? The entire place used to be called Action Park until Intrawest purchased it and named it Mountain Creek. They then sold/leased the waterpark area to Palace Entertainment, and kept the ski resort area. — ThreeDee912(talk/contribs) 20:28, 4 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"...white boy drinking facilities..."?[edit]

What does the phrase, "Mountain Creek is also renowned for its white boy drinking facilities" mean, and is it an appropriate description? It sounds a little biased. - MiloChan 14:24, 28 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Harriman Family Involvement and Lawsuit[edit]

No information on the Harriman Family investment in the area? Averill Harriman's heirs sued his widow and some other bigwigs in 1994 for squandering family money. You make reference to the suit in passing on your Pamela Churchill page but don't give the details anywhere. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.95.174.225 (talk) 21:09, 29 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This article is teeming with bias.[edit]

Like the subheading states. We really need a cleanup crew on this wiki. The introductory paragraphs were riddled with ridiculous superlatives and obvious marketing pitches—this is all discounting the plethora of grammatical and syntactical issues in each subheading.

I also think it requires some pretty intense trimming. Not everything is encyclopedic. Frevangelion (talk) 21:29, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
