Modern Soul?[edit]

Yo, Amazon is currently listing Beck's new album as "Modern Soul" with a release date of July 8, 2008. Anyone know more about this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.188.90.2 (talk) 03:21, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's Modern Guilt now. Davewho2 (talk) 16:03, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Citation for Review[edit]

Where is the citation for the rolling stones review? I can't find it online and I don't know whether they actually reviewed the album or not. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.175.52.90 (talk) 20:43, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The best I can find is this section of what looks like a review. tehgrisp (talk) 18:47, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mixed review[edit]

Here is a somewhat mixed review if any editor would like to impart more diversity into the reviews section: Crawdaddy! (mixed) 2008(Full disclosure: I am an editor at Crawdaddy, where this was published. But, to abide with COI guidelines, I am not posting anything on the wikipage itself, just letting editors know about the source.)Thanks for your time

Soul of a Man[edit]

... is also a song by Blind Willie Johnson. The documentary episode is probably also named after this --71.206.36.2 (talk) 07:20, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphans music video[edit]

There is a music video for "Orphans". I don't know if this constitutes a "single" or an article, but it is noteworthy. StevePrutz (talk) 18:35, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Negative reviews need to be included in the infobox.[edit]

As the article notes, the album wasn't recieved 100% positively, and cites two(!) reviews that gave it two out of five. However, the infobox gives the opposite impression. Isn't "The Skinny" less notable than "The Guardian" or "PopMatters"? I never heard of it before, for example. I suggest including at least one not-too-positive review from a notable publication and am thinking of a way to present the 77 MetaCritic score appropriately. Litis (talk) 12:00, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It probably would be a good idea to include the negative reviews to convey proper proportions, but don't split 50/50 necessarily, as I believe the album was mostly met with praise. I'm not sure why The Skinny would be considered more notable than The Guardian or PopMatters, I wouldn't agree with that one bit. So if you know of some other honest negative reviews, definitely include them, and remove some of the less-notable, positive reviews in the infobox. --Jacob Talk 17:00, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
