In this area the agrocultur is important. There is the highest frequencey of pigbreading in sweden - which for the use of the fertilieser is combined with potatoes for industrial use. The Starch factory situatad in Mjällby is manufacturing potatoe flower and fiber as well as starch derviates for the paper industry. Mjälby has also machanical industry which consists of manny small companies as well as one big former part of Volvo manufacturing heat exchangers.
Annother important point is to mention the larege number ov tourists that come to visit beaches, ports, hotells amd restaurants.
