Regarding the lack of references; I'm not sure what you want to reference. Miter gauges are accessories that usually come with the tools mentioned, and are used in generally the same way on all of them. There are also better miter gauges that can be purchased which have more features, but still used in the same way. So, I guess one could reference every tool's owner's manual that uses a miter gauge.
