Revert 2000 date of death[edit]

An anon added 2000 as a date of death for Bobotsov and Georgi Tringov. I can't even confirm that Bobotsov is dead, let alone the 2000 date. Anyone have any information on this? (Apparently Tringov is dead, since the 2004 Bulgarian Open was called the Tringov Memorial, but I can't confirm 2000 as the correct year of death.) Quale 05:49, 14 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

As noted in the discussion of the Tringov article, I've found evidence confirming Tringov's 2000 death. However, the same source does not corroborate a 2000 death date for Bobotsov, and there are a couple of other links suggesting -- though not proving -- that he's still around. The claim that he died in 2000 seems to come from one poorly translated newsletter that has other, known errors. About the best we can do on this one, at least for the present, is say "not proven." -- Bill-on-the-Hill 00:10, 16 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
The claim is back, again without documentation. -- Bill-on-the-Hill (talk) 17:56, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. That addresses the concern fully. -- Bill-on-the-Hill (talk) 19:13, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
