Notability?[edit]

I am not suggesting deletion or anything, but this article doesn't seem to indicate significance or importance of the subject. How is he more notable than the thousands of other medieval scribes who also transcribed the gospels? Was it his brown ink? (Not being flippant - I know ink formulas were often closely held secrets, and sometimes represented innovations in themselves.) Did he have a unique style to his Georgian script that drew the attention his peers? Did he receive widespread acclaim for his work? The article can be speedy-deleted if it does not at least make a claim of importance or significance per WP:A7. Notability does not need to be proven to avoid that process, but it needs a claim of how Mtserali stands out as an important historical figure. Eventually WP:Notability will have to be established though. For ideas about how to establish notability, look at WP:ANYBIO (item #2, as a notable historical figure), WP:CREATIVE (as a creative professional), or perhaps WP:NACADEMICS (as a notable historical academic). Also consider whether the article should be about Mtserali himself or his collection of works. Sometimes it can be easier to establish notability in that way. Right now though, I think the article is in a perilous state. It's not easy to satisfy notability requirements, but if Mtserali truly is a notable historical figure, it should be possible.
