Improve or delete[edit]

I came here from the Guild of Copyeditors following a copyedit tag, but there's way more wrong with this page than that. As far as I can see, the only information about this person anywhere on the internet is either from self-published sources, or other sites directly quoting from same, or Wikipedia mirrors. The text is a straight screen-dump of his CV without even rudimentary formatting, and the two references are both self-published (one had a footnote, now removed, that the site wasn't self-published, but the site itself shows "Copyright Michael S Sanders"...)

Before anyone does anything like copyediting, we need to decide whether it is worth keeping the article at all. I've had a look around, as I say, and can't find anything about this guy on the internet. If anyone is in a better position to find anything and can do, then fine. I'll wander back through in a week or two and if there's been nothing more, I'll nominate it for deletion. Brickie (talk) 14:06, 2 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Revisions[edit]

As I have long been retired I have not had much cause to visit my entry in Wiki for whom I have the greatest respect but a number of people of late have referred me to the paltry entry and the misinformation of the last "editor" who claims there is nothing about me of an independent source.

In fact at the time we did the two one hour specials for NBC and Channel 4 in the UK many newspapers did profiles of my work and they are cited on the Mysteriesofbible.com web-site together with the actual links to the newspapers etc.

ww.biblemysteries.com/press.htm

In addition there has long been a short bio on the website http://www.biblemysteries.com/biography.htm

all of which has independent verifications on the internet.

I really have no knowledge or desire to alter the entry on Wiki but I do feel for the sake of history the entry should be comprehensive and accurate. Just the fact that I am still the one that organized the only expedition to the bottom the the Dead Sea and only one of 4 or 5 people ever to have been to the bottom of the Dead Sea (in collaboration with the Dead Sea Research Center at the University of Tel Aviv ...all substantiated on the web, at their site, the site of the submarine captain and the Jerusalem Post, the Sunday Time of London etc. etc. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.176.74.185 (talk) 20:00, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

For what it's worth, I added the bio link. Any expansion of the article based on the press page will require a Wikipedia editor who wants to take on the expansion. Could happen. Yworo (talk) 20:07, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
