Retirement[edit]

It is my understanding that Michael Guy (Mike to his friends) has retired from the Computer Science department of Cambridge University. He is still seen around town; and may often be found of an evening in the Champion of The Thames Public House, in King Street. Hair Commodore (talk) 14:17, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Guy[edit]

I have renamed the article to Michael Guy (was Michael J. T. Guy). There were a number of links to the American musician Michael Guy (who has been deleted); if you find any that I missed, please remove the Wikilink. I have also created the #REDIRECT Michael Guy (computer scientist). Can I suggest that from now on people use this redirect, as it will prevent disambiguation problems in the future. Hairy Wombat appears to be a sock puppet and is no longer a user. I am wondering why this article was quickly created over the holidays a few years ago while most editors were away with family. - User:Rockergirldiary May 16, 2016

If there is another Michael Guy of note, this article can be moved back to Michael J. T. Guy and then this article can list both people as a disambiguation page. Tom Ruen (talk) 13:24, 16 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Date[edit]

An exact date of birth should be used.
