Memphis SouthmenMemphis Grizzlies (WFL) – This team was commmonly – and according to the article, later officially – known as the Grizzlies. ONR (talk) 22:24, 21 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose - all the first results on google for "World Football League" say "Memphis Southmen" ([1], [2], [3] . Even pictures of magazines and posters from 1975 say "Southmen" with "Grizzlies" being their nickname. If you could find a source saying the name change was official that might help, but it doesn't seem to be an official name change. --Gonnym (talk) 08:57, 29 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. There are far more Google Books hits for "Memphis Southmen" than for "Memphis Grizzlies" WFL. It also allows us to avoid a parentheses, which is preferable per WP:NATURALDIS.--Cúchullain t/c 15:06, 29 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
