From Jessica[edit]

My name is Jessica and I’m from Avid’s PR agency. We realize we can’t update this page ourselves, so we thought we’d flag a couple of sections that are very out of date, in case someone else would like to update. which file formats does it support for input? 124.168.155.239 (talk) 09:28, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Does anyone else hear a little POV in the opening paragraph (not to mention some advertising speak)? Judging by the talk page, it doesn't seem like this page is actively edited, so I'm not going to bother quoting wiki rules, but I'll wait a few days before changing anything. What I hear is a disclosed COI and an admirable willingness to work with us and follow our rules. See #Article needs work below. Andrewa (talk) 20:17, 19 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Article needs work[edit]

I note that the current article says the platforms are Mac OS and Windows, but Comparison of video editing software says it also runs on Linux (which is my immediate question and what brought me here!).

That plus the comment from Jessica above leads me to believe that this article as it is is seriously not to be trusted. Watch this space, and if Jessica or anyone else anyone from Avid is watching, talk to me via my talk page and/or email. We can and will fix it. TIA Andrewa (talk) 20:12, 19 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I know this post is a little old, but Media Composer is not available to install on Linux systems. ElDiscord (talk) 12:49, 27 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Key features page[edit]

Hello, I would like to remove the "Key features" section, and perhaps replace it with a link to an Avid page. I don't think a selected list of Media Composer features is relevenat for the Wiki. Most editing systems have these key features nowadays. Likeiwse, I think it clogs up the page and makes it longer than it needs to be. ElDiscord (talk) 12:47, 27 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
