Removal of material claimed as US-govt PD, July 2016[edit]

Huh??? I restored content that someone else had deleted. I did explain it in the edit summary. 108.114.10.46 (talk) 00:30, 7 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
We cannot write WP:Featured Articles if the sources are not properly explained. WP:V is the basis of this encyclopedia. You have provided no sources to back your *assertion* that this material is U.S. government PD (WP:BURDEN), and even if so, it would be much better with a source. No-one can prove this is US-gov PD at the moment!! Just find the source, note it, and we can all proceed to more constructive work. @ThePlatypusofDoom: as well. Copying to article talk page as well. Bombers & Super Constellation Airborne Radar Aircraft[edit]

My father was stationed at McClellan from May 1958 until June 1961. He was a supply officer, so he definitely fit the Air Materiel designation given in this article. I was in my early teens when we were there and we often went on base for recreation or for Boy Scout meetings and activities. As I recall, there was a unit of B-52 bombers stationed there, and a few B-47's as well (I think that these were being phased out). There was also a unit of RC-121's, radar bearing Super Constellations, that flew coastal surveillance flights on a continuous basis. All I have is my memories to go on, but from what my father said, these two units were an important part of the base's mission. I have absolutely no technical information on them, so I do not want to add this to the article, but I did want to ask if anyone else out there knew anything about the bombers and Super Connies stationed there.
