Removal[edit]

Removed from article: She is the only person in the whole history of the world who was convicted in crimes against property (or any other non-political crimes) and still has his or her image on national currency.

That's a remarkable claim - it would surprise me if none of the artists, scientists, explorers etc. depicted on banknotes worldwide had ever been convicted of any crime. While Reibey might be the only one on currently-circulated Australian currency, the old $10 note is still legal tender, and features convicted criminals on both sides (Francis Greenway and Henry Lawson); John Macarthur, from the old $2 note, narrowly avoided a court-martial for his part in the Rum Rebellion. Sara Dane sold 900 million copies????[edit]

Have changed this to "best seller". 900 million would make it the biggest selling book of all time, ahead of the next best, Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities at 200 million. Reference to Thomas Reibey Premier of Tasmania[edit]

This section is inaccurate see Irvine [1982] and the page on Thomas https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Reibey He is referred to here as Mary's son - but he is actually her Grandson. This section also refers to Mary as arriving in 1790 which is also wrong and is more accurately stated at the top of the article. regards, Njames007 (talk) 06:50, 28 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
