Notability[edit]

Re Notability and proposed deletion:

That this woman was made recently made a Dame in the UK (the female version of a knighthood) for her at several major charities alone should settle her inclusion in Wikipedia; that she is also one of the founders and continuing senior management of one of the UK's most successful companies makes her even more important. In fact, I can not imagine on what grounds this woman wouldn't be considered notable. She's sufficiently notable that when the ***Times*** managed to get an interview (linked to) with her it gave her five web pages - and that was before she was made a Dame. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Umptious (talkcontribs) 15:13, 18 November 2007‎

Szatmár Optika Mátészalka!!![edit]

good day! I would like to ask you, as the owner of Satu Mare Optics, to visit Hungary and ask people how they are treated, the management there! It is necessary to work continuously, in 6 +2 shifts the exhaustion and fatigue are continuous here at the workplace in Mátészalka. I ask you as the owner to do this against the fact that I wrote to you I know you are caught kicking out of the job, but I accept. If that happens. But you, as a person and owner can only change you. Help make the workplace better and make people happy to work as they used to! 2001:4C4E:17CE:C300:7CF1:2C46:6889:BD74 (talk) 08:30, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

POV[edit]

Or something. I read the sentence "She has admitted donning disguises and visiting Specsavers stores, posing as a customer." and it seems odd. Why is this "admitting", since generally it is a good sign if senior management care about how retail shops actually operate. I know that "franchise" is a mechanism closely allied to exploitation (the owning company extracts the profits, the operator provides for the losses), but this is not obviously a reason for the wording. I can't read the Times article. Can anyone comment? Imaginatorium (talk) 09:24, 15 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
