For a period of time Martin V. (Bud) Smith was the owner of the Ventura County Railway Co. He had several of the engines named for family members. At least one engine now resides with the Filmore and Western Railway in Filmore, Ca. the Filmore and Western being a collection of historic and antique railway stock and related equipment.
